GoodNCrazy Halloween 2012 | A Very Smurfy Year!

We had a fab Halloween party over the weekend and I’m excited to share our GoodNCrazy Costumes with you this year! First can I say I have the BEST husband ever. I mean.. He’s BLUE for pete’s sake.

I must admit. The Smurf costumes are NOT DIY we purchased our Smurfy duds via CostumeSupercenter.com . Everything else we created ourselves from our ever growing Halloween Costume stash!

Cruella and her favorite Dalmation puppy my two daughters created ALL themselves!
Gotta love having a 14yrold! Isn’t the puppy face fantastic!? {I bought a ‘Klutz’ brand face painting book with paints and it had this puppy as an idea.}

Mr. Invisible Man is a bit of a longer story
He wanted to be a mummy. We Googled possible mummy options to DIY and he didn’t like any of them. (I thought it was a great idea? But.) It reminded me of the street performers in Madrid my husband and I saw last year. ‘Invisible Men’ with a hat like this and even sunglasses attached. He saw photos of the street performers and agreed, PERFECT costume for an 8yrold boy (who LOVES magic btw). 🙂 It was easy to make, and cost about $2 in PVC piping. NICE! Just use dad’s shirt and old suit for the rest. Find a Top Hat and Voila! You are good to go.

{We used the tutorial for creating a ‘jar head’ or a kid holding his head in his hand from ThirtyHandmadeDays.}

PS. We were very nervous about that blue Smurf paint coming off in time for church… it did.

PPS. The invisible man costume literally had the WHOLE crowd waiting at the local spook alley pointing and whispering and talking. HUGE HIT!
