Love the idea of your son tutoring! We have all day kindergarten, I can't imagine the school system telling you that this far into the school year. The school system originally had 1 class that went all day every day based on testing...the other two classes, one went all days on Mon, Wed and every other Friday, and the other went Tues, Thurs and every other Friday. Now finally the past 3 years all three classes go all day everyday. It seems to be working well. but we are a small rural area school compared to most. You never know what the states are going to throw at you for funding. Good luck with your "options".

Btw-we like the oreo truffles too and have used white chocolate for ours and made the heart shapes for v-day. Also have just spread in a pan and spread the chocolate across top and cut in squares..lot less mess than dipping.

Although I'm particularly fond of Boyd's suggestion, in the end I would probably just pay and complain a lot :)

(Did I say 'complain'? Ooops. I meant 'constructively criticize' the state of our public education system for the purpose of affecting positive change... Or you really could just complain "s"!)

So my little one isn't even using verbs yet... How does one raise such a kindergarten prodigy? Seriously - do you think having older siblings helped? Or did you actually do exercises with him, or just follow his lead?

Right now I just want Claire to use verbs - but counting and reading sometime later would be good too!

That is insane, but sadly not too shocking in this day and age of schools with no money and such. Glad your little boy is doing so well, but I don't know what I'd do in your situation. I mean if most of the kids are staying, how are they even saving much money by kicking out some of the kids? Or do they know they can kind of force you into it and thereby make a little extra money? Seems so wrong.

Shut UP! Really? You have an option to PAY? Wow. Given the friend situation I would serioulsy wonder what was best to do, but having to pay...oy! Seems like at this point they need to just leave it as it is and hope their evalutations are better and more comprehensive next year.Good luck with that decision!

P.S. I like your husband's idea.
