Earth Week | Take Part With AMEX MembersProject
American Express has teamed up with TakePart.com and together they have created a project worthy of Earth Week! And the beauty is that it’s unbelievably simple!
TakePart.com is an organization dedicated to informing the world about ongoing issues affecting all of us. From the epidemic Honey Bee Decline to Alternative Fuel options.
Right now you can get involved… I mean… TAKE PART! by simply voting as often as once a week for your favorite charity! Tell your mom, your sister, your crazy aunt… get everyone you know to go VOTE!
Every three months, five new charities will receive funding from American Express, but they need your help deciding who to give it to. They are asking for people to rally behind the charities of their choice and vote.
- Vote once per week on which causes American Express should fund. Members Project is donating $200K to five causes every three months. Round 1 voting ends May 24, 2010
- Volunteer at charities that American Express helps you find and receive Membership Reward points for doing so
- Donate money or Membership Rewards points to one of 50 selected charities, or choose from over 1 million other charities
- Share your involvement with the program to inspire and encourage others to participate

There are a LOT to choose from.
I would have chosen American Diabetes Association (After all, I sleep with a diabetic!) —I think I’ll ask them to add ADA to the list! Can’t hurt to ask right??
